Five minutes of setup. Then it's just a button.
GateVia has an admin side and a member side. Admins do the thinking once: who can open what, when, and for how long. Members do nothing — they just press a button. This page walks through the admin setup so you know exactly what you're signing up for.
Add your gate
Create a Space (one per building, hotel, or floor). GateVia gives you a phone number — add it to the authorised callers list inside your gate's GSM module. That's the only physical step, and any installer can do it in five minutes if you can't.
Add gate
Whitelist this number in your gate
Add this phone to the authorised callers list inside your gate's GSM module. The gate must accept calls from this number.
The Add gate dialog. The number on top is the one to whitelist on the gate.
Invite the people who should be able to open it
Invite each person by email. For each, pick which gates they get access to. Optionally add a schedule (e.g. weekdays 9–17), an expiry date, and a max number of openings. Invitees get a magic link by email — no app required.
Members
Members section: one card per person, with their gates, schedule, and revocable magic link.
Fine-tune access — schedule, expiry, max usage
The access editor lets you scope every permission. Cleaning crew on Tuesdays only? Done. Airbnb guest with check-in tomorrow and check-out Sunday? Set the dates. Plumber here for one job? Cap it at three openings.

Access editor. Multi-gate, schedule, optional expiry, optional max-usage cap. All revocable instantly.
It's just a button
Members with an account see all their gates inside the app. Members without an account use the link from their invitation. Both press the same button. Average open time: under a second. Every open is logged with who, when, IP, and user-agent.

Every action is logged
The audit trail records every open and every admin action — adding a member, changing access, renaming the Space — with actor, IP, user-agent, timestamp. Export anytime. Optional Slack notifications keep oncall staff in the loop.
